P&WC decided to build
a new Turbo-Jet engine which would weigh less than 1,000
lb and would be used on Executive Jets.
Our task (as a subcontractor of Smiths Industries)
was to design a Health Usage and Monitoring software
system that would fit into their electronic control
box.
This we did but sadly the project was cancelled.
However, we did continue to provide services for the
development of the engine controller.
Services such as Requirements Analysis, System Design,
Code Design and Code Implementation of real time, safety
critical routines in PASCAL, 68000, 68020 and the in-house
languages HLS and ANL.
Then we moved into the Testing Arena...
We produced and ran tests at all levels, from Acceptance
Tests to Unit Tests and to cap it all we also acted
as the configuration controller.
Reviewed other engineers' designs, code and tests.
Updated the EEEC test and programming suite in 'C'.
Project standards were DO178A & B. |
